I had a great weekend in Sligo for round 3 of the XC national points series. After course practice on Saturday evening i was ready for the race on Sunday where i was aiming for another podium which would give me another strong result.
The race started and i had a good start up the long climb settling into 3rd holding around a 10 second to the leaders. After the first lap the gap had increased to around 25 seconds so i knew i would just have a stay strong because i couldn’t bring them back. I kept riding well over up the climb on down the rough decent. I finished the race strong to secure another 3rd and stay 3rd overall with only 2 rounds of the series left. Im looking forward to trying to keep riding well and carrying form throughout the rest of the series and into some of my big targets over the summer
