PJ Logan

Happy with the race today at the PJ Logan memorial ran by Island Wheeler’s. Super happy to actually get to race on the roads and not around race tracks like i have been for the past few weeks. The course was a really hard course that was very lumpy so i though it would suit me well.

The race started with a fast start and i got away with the first attack. Sadly we got caught after around 30 seconds but was still good to get up the road. After that i got back into the group and sat in. There was a few attacks went but nobody got away and everyone was trying to use a lot of tactics. After the laps of the course one rider broke away and nobody could get away with him. 2 riders who were trying to chase him stayed away and i was thew next group behind them with 2 other riders. I attacked on the last lap but couldn’t get away so i got ready for the hill finish. I didnt manage to get the jump on the other riders and felt like i was closing in on them as we got to the line. I am happy to finish with 6th as it was a big race with a strong field.

Thanks to Island Wheelers for making sure the roads were safe and making the great course, also a big thanks to my sponsors, Studo55, The Yard, Fabrite, Apollo Cycling Team and Aeron Wheels.
