Time for the big one, National Champs in Limerick. In course practice the course was good and fast. I was feeling really good and enjoying the sand sections and the features of the course.

I got a brilliant start and took the holeshot. My plan was to attack from the start and see if I could get a gap and I executed the plan. I led for the first half a lap and then 2 riders came past me. We were in a group of 4 fighting at the front until the 2nd lap where the winner made his attack and got a gap. Then it was me and one other chasing him and racing for 3rd. I tried to recover a bit throughout the 3rd lap of the race to try and attack on the last lap. I led into the sand pit and made a attack. I got a gap and held it to the line to take 2nd.

I am super happy with this result as only being a first year. I knew my form was good coming into the race but to prove it and show I was strong was a good indication for the future.

Thank to everybody who has been apart of this brilliant cross season.
