Finally cross is here. The first cross of the year hosted by my own club VC Glendale. The challenging course in Falls Park is a great lap and makes for fun and exciting racing.

To start the race I got a good start, I battled for the duration of the race and had a close battle switching positions between 1st and 2nd through the 4 laps of the race. I was faster in some sections and slower in others.

On the last lap as we came along the back straight past the pits for the last time I went all in and attacked and created a small gap. I was able to hold him off for the final few sections and take the win by a close margin.

I’m happy with this solid start to the cross season and this gives me a base to build on as we progress into the season.
