It was a brilliant day to get my first taste of european racing. 31 degres heat on a hard course that had some very narrow roads which made positioning very important.

I stayed at the front of the bunch all race watching fro attacks but any attacks that went were caught. At one stage i was able to get up the road with 2 other riders but we got caught by the bunch after a few hundred meters. The bunch calmed down as the sprint finish approached but there was a crash in front of me on the run into the finish so i had to break to avoid it which made me loose position for the sprint. I managed to finish 18th so i am happy with the race and it was great experience.
