Today was a charity CX race at the Cyclocross NI track in Portadown. As the race was only fun I decided to ride the elite race instead of u14. After the Nationals I have been having a rest, this was only my 2nd time riding the bike this week so I didn’t know what to expect.

I got a good start and we were in a group for the 1st few corners. A leading group of 2 strong riders broke off and I was fighting for 3rd with a u16. We had a good battle for the first 35 minutes but I got a puncture and I didn’t have my spare bike so this lead to my race ending early. Im still happy with my ride today as I felt really strong.

I’ve got one more CX race left next Saturday then my racing season will be over until late March/April when MTB and Road starts.
