Ulster CX Championships

Today was the Ulster Cyclocross championships in Mallusk. It was a tough day as the course was very open and the strong winds made the fast ridding course a lot harder. The conditions were dry and hard ground with a couple of muddy sections but it was dry and fast. The temperatures also made it a tough race with it being very cold.

I didn’t know how my race was going to go today as i had been sick all week and this was only my 2nd time on the bike since the World Cup last week in Dublin. We lined up for the race and i was ready to go. I got a good start and took the lead, I continued this to take the win by over 2 minutes which I am happy with as i hadn’t done much riding all week.

Next up for me is Rd3 of the Irish National Series on the 28th December at McCrystals CX Track in Dundalk.
