Today was the Ulster XC MTB Championships in the Leadmines, Ards. It was a great day for racing with dry and dusty trails but was tough with the heat. I enjoyed the course as it was very technical and good fun, it also had a lot of climbing.

I had a good race after dropping off the wheel of the leader on the 1st climb and staying in 2nd from there to the finish. I felt like i rode well and I’m super happy with my 2nd place, I felt like I had went out very well but the race was slightly longer than normal and my pace roped down towards the end but I’m still happy enough. Looking forward to the road nationals next weekend, I feel I’m in good shape so excited to get stuck in and see what I can do.
