Ards XC Winter Classic

Today was the Ards xc winter classic. I am very happy with my result as I won by a very big gap, I lapped everybody in my race.

I got off to a good start getting the lead into the first corner then I just just got into tt mode trying to see how big of a gap I could get. After around 6 laps I had laped everyone so I then just had to keep pushing and not make any mistakes.

Nice to get the hands up in the air in my national championships kit as this might be my last race in it because I have to move up to a different category next year.

Great race by Ards cycling club, the short kids course was good and the men’s course was amazing, good steep climbs, technical descents and fast gravel sections made for a great race.

Now I have the Ulster cyclocross championships then I have a few weeks to get some good training blocks in before the cyclocross nationals which is just after Christmas (first week of January).
